The First Baptist Church Of Port Aransas Exists To:

1. Celebrate God’s Presence (Worship) "You shall love the Lord your God with all of your heart ..."
2. Educate God’s People (Discipleship) "... make disciples, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you."
3. Demonstrate God’s Love (Ministry) "... love your neighbor as yourself."
4. Communicate God’s Word (Evangelism) "Therefore go ..."
5. Incorporate God’s Family (Fellowship) "... baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit."

All five of these purposes are spoken by Jesus Himself in two verses:

1. The Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40)
2. The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20

The Bible explains these! (Ephesians 4:1-16)

To Summarize: We exist to shine the light and love of Jesus Christ to Port Aransas and the world!
